Founders Story
Virginia "Ginny" Ondik, CRNA, MSN
At the heart of Bayan Health is the belief that healthcare should feel personal, supportive, and rooted in community. The word “Bayan” comes from the Filipino language and represents community, unity, and caring for one another. These are the values that have shaped my life from the very beginning.
Athlete. Nurse. CRNA.
Growing up, athletics played a huge role in my life. I was a three-sport athlete in high school, where I became a state champion, and my dedication to soccer earned me a full scholarship to play Division I soccer at Duquesne University. As the starting goalkeeper for three years, I learned discipline, teamwork, and perseverance… qualities that continue to guide me today.
Nearly a decade of infertility
Even after being blessed with our two incredible boys, I found myself on another challenging journey, trying to reclaim my health and sense of balance after years of fertility treatments, pregnancy, and the demands of motherhood and career. Like many women, I was trying to get my body back, my energy back, and my mental clarity back.
Why Bayan Health exists
That realization became the inspiration for Bayan Health. Bayan Health was created to bring together medical expertise, compassionate care, and community support, so people don’t have to navigate their health journeys alone. Whether someone is working toward better physical health, hormonal balance, longevity, or recovering from difficult health experiences, our mission is to provide care that is accessible, thoughtful, and deeply human.
Today, my greatest motivation continues to be my family, my husband, my boys, and the future we are building together. They remind me every day why this work matters.
